Solvalou is a shoot 'em up arcade game that was released by Namco in 1991. It is the 3rd title in the Xevious series.

Solvalou is the name of the ship that the player controls in all five games, including the later Xevious 3D/G and Xevious Arrangement. Solvalou is also borrowed as a fictional company brand in the 4th Ridge Racer game, for an elite Italian racing team who race in distinct silver and navy blue livery. It Later Appeared in Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection as Jack 5's Customizations.

The game was released for the Nintendo's Virtual Console service in Japan on March 26, 2009, and is one of the first Virtual Console titles to make use of the Wii Remote's pointer.

History Edit

After Year A.D 2012, G.U.M.P was defeated, however, G.U.M.P built an Andor Genesis with superior abilities and thus, calling it Garu Andor Genesis. Solvalou was launched and to destroy the remaining Xevious ships and targets in order to destroy Garu Andor Genesis in space


The gameplay is very much like Xevious and Super Xevious except that the game is in three dimensional (3D) and has a 1st-person viewpoint. the game also introduces new enemies, including cube-like Zobaras and Rayram laser guns.

Solvalou is composed of Shields, when the shield is out, you lose the shield and need to evade bullets,starfighters, etc. and the game will be over if you lose shields

Areas Edit

Each stage has its own areas

Area 1 (Stages 1-2, Earth): Destroy Andor Genesis

Area 2 (Stages 2-3, Base): Destroy the Core Base

Area 3 (Stage 4, Space): Destroy Garu Andor Genesis

Weapons Edit

Solvalou's weapons are the Zapper and the Blaster (this time it takes 4 lock-on to enemies)
